The GaiaMind Project

The GaiaMind Project is a not-for-profit trans-denominational effort dedicated to spreading awareness of a meditation and prayer for the tranformation of global consciousness on January 23rd, 1997. Participation is open to all and is in no way directed by or associated with belief in any particular religion or ideology, including astrology.

The Project was initiated by Juliana Balistreri, 31, and Jim Fournier, 35, of San Francisco CA.

In addition to the founders Juliana and Jim, thousands of people worldwide from many spiritual traditions are now co-creators of this unique event. Grassroots awareness continues to spread globally as the co-creators share information about the event with others by word-of-mouth, email, fax, mail, community bulletin boards, etc. Everyday many dozens of individuals and groups from around the world continue to register their intention to participate and organize gatherings on January 23rd.

The GaiaMind Project hopes to serve as a catalyst for global healing by bringing forth practical, creative, spiritually-based solutions to the challenges before humankind and the planet. The Project serves as a bridge to explore the interface between science, medicine, philosophy and the world's spiritual wisdom traditions. On January 23rd the Project's existing website at www.gaiamind.com will be reborn as www.gaiamind.org to serve as an ongoing forum for these ideas.
